About SMI
Supportive Ministries was founded by Joe Bradley in 1984, in Athens, Texas.
The ministry was formed according to the Paul’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 12:28. “And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.”
Since that time, SMI has sponsored local and international ministries, started churches and schools, and other initiatives to support the work of making disciples of Jesus.
SMI is now headquartered in Nacogdoches, Texas, under the leadership of Michael Dean. Currently, our focus is on supporting young, unmarried professionals to be stronger disciples of Jesus and beginning a new outreach ministry to the Nacogdoches community.
